BY CAR

       1st Route   From Bangkok, take Highway No.1 and No.32 to Nakorn Sawan, then proceeds to Phitsanulok by Highway No.117. Finally, turn right to Highway No.12, Phitsanulok – Wangthong – Lomsak, Natural Park Resort de Wangthong is located at the 36th kilometer of the highway. The distance from Bangkok about 390 kilometres.

       2nd Route   From Bangkok, take Highway No.1 and No.32 to Amphur InBuri, Sing Buri, then turn right into Highway No.11. After passing Tak Fah –Sak Lek, Highway No.11 will be linked to Highway No.12 at Amphur Wangthong, then turn right into the way to Amphur Lomsak and keep going until arriving the 36th kilometre, at which Natural Park Resort de Wangthong is located. Total distance is 390 kilometres

       3rd Route   Drive from Bangkok along Highway No.1 to Sara Buri, then proceeds to Highway No.21 through Petchaboon to Amphur Lomsak. Finally, turn left into Highway No.12 to Phitsanulok. A total distance of 494 kilometres, Natural Park Resort de Wangthong is situated at the 36th kilometre of this highway.

 

BY TRAIN

       Regular trains depart from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Phitsanulok. Call 1690 or go to www.railway.co.th for more information.

BY BUS

       Buses depart from Bangkok’s Mochit 2 Bus Terminal to Phitsanulok.

       A major tourist destination in the Lower North, Phitsanulok is situated on the banks of the Nan River some 377 kilometres from Bangkok.

       Most of the terrains are flatland, with mountain ranges running on the east where waterfalls and national parks offer opportunities for nature treks.

 

       Historically, Phitsanulok has been a major community since the time of the Khmers and enjoyed great prosperity during the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods. During 1463-1487 it was practically another royal capital as King Borom Trailokanat of Ayutthaya resided permanently in the province.

'Sai Thi Huk Tueng'

       "Sai Thi Huk Tueng Vegetarian Hall". Chao Phor Heng Jia (Tai Sia Huk Jow) was located in this shrine; the Chinese believe that Chao Phor Heng Jia is a deity in heaven and a supernatural power god. If anyone come here to worship and lit the firecrackers for paying respect to the Chinese Monkey Deity is considered to bring luck and success

       A sign at km. 61 reads Suan pa Khao Krayang and introduces a 2-kilometre access road to Poi Waterfall, which is distinguished by a copious flow and profuse rocky outcropping. Many species of flowering trees grace the area

      The famous Buddha of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, is one of the most highly revered Buddha images in Thailand. Made of gilded bronze and dating back to the 14th century, the serene figure is a supreme example of late Sukhothai art. It has served as the model for many other Buddha images. It was cast in the attitude of subduing evil.

'Kaeng Song'
Waterfall

       Kaeng Song waterfall is situated on the Wang Thong River of Lomsak Road (Highway 12) at kilometer 45. The falls have small pavilions to accommodate tourists, and concessions are sold on the premises.

Thawee Folk
Museum

       The Sgt. Maj. Thawee Folk Museum is a fascinating private museum and it is a must-see attraction in Phitsanulok province. Sets in several small buildings, the museum was set up by Sgt. Maj. Thawee Buranakhet in 1983 featuring tools and utensils formerly used by local folks and exhibitions on their livelihood which collected from various regions.
